Gomersall Motorsport will expand its lineup in 2025, with a three-car attack confirmed to contest the full Monochrome GT4 Australia season.
In what is a unique operation for the series, the Queensland-based team will run three cars from three different manufacturers, with Jason Gomersall and Aaron Seton behind the wheel of a Ford Mustang GT4, Glenn Walker in a BMW M4 GT4 F82, and the returning Jake Camilleri in a Mercedes-AMG GT4.
While all four drivers appeared for the team in some capacity over the past 12 months, this will be the first year the team runs a three-car operation for a full season.
Leading the charge will be Gomersall and Seton in the Mustang GT4 after a brief two-round introduction to the category at the end of last season. During that stint, they debuted with a class top-five finish in Sydney and wrapped up with a class podium at Bathurst.
Both drivers bring a wealth of experience, with Gomersall having competed in esteemed categories such as Super3, Touring Cars Masters, Formula Vee, Production Cup and V8 Utes across a 20-year career. Seton’s 15-year career has seen him race in top-tier categories such as Supercars, Touring Car Masters, Australian Production Cars, and Trans Am.
Camilleri enters the season as the only driver of the four to have completed a full season with the team in Monochrome GT4 Australia last year. He secured Silver Cup round podiums at Phillip Island and Mount Panorama, with the latter being his strongest round, courtesy of a runner-up in the final race.
For Camilleri, he has enjoyed a strong 20-year career spanning state, national and international events, with a large portion of it being in GT racing and Australian Production Cars.
Rounding out the team is Walker, who was entered for one round last year but was forced to withdraw after an unlucky crash in testing. Fortunately, it didn’t deter the Queenslander, who returns this year for a full campaign.
Walker has competed in sprints and regularity events at club and state level for over 10 years.
The four drivers will begin their 2025 Monochrome GT4 Australia campaigns as part of the Shannons SpeedSeries’ GT Festival at Phillip Island on April 4-6.

QUOTES
Jason Gomersall
#71 Ford Mustang GT4
“Since I finished up in Super3 a couple of years ago, I’ve been looking for the right racing category to get involved with moving forward, and GT4 seemed like the right one for me,” said Gomersall.
“Competing in the last two rounds of the 2024 season confirmed that—I love the variety of cars involved as well as the qualifying and race formats.
“Aaron and I work really well together—we can trust each other’s feedback on the car, which is very important. I did consider running as a single Am entry, but by sharing with Aaron, he pushes me to a better lap time, and I am enjoying the Silver-Am class.
“We have considered a range of different possibilities for the number and combination of entries in 2025, and there is certainly enough demand to run more than three cars. However, we believe three cars is the ‘sweet spot’ for GMS.
“Three entries give us the right economies of scale while ensuring we can do a quality job.”
Aaron Seton
#71 Ford Mustang GT4
“I’m super excited for the season ahead in GT4 Australia with Jason and Gomersall Motorsport,” said Seton.
“We’ve got a great team of people as well as a strong car in the Ford Mustang, ensuring we can consistently challenge at the front of the Silver-Am field.
“Our goal for the season is to win the Silver-Am Championship. We work well together as a driver combination, and we look forward to putting our best foot forward and seeing where we finish come New Zealand.
“It’s exciting to see the momentum building for GT4 in Australia. There’s so much potential for the category this year, with a large number of new cars entering the country in the past six months.
“I love the two one-hour race format, and the cars are a lot of fun to drive.”
Jake Camilleri
#36 Mercedes AMG GT4
“The category is growing, so it’s great to be a part of it. I had so much fun last year, and I want to go even better and win this year,” said Camilleri.
“I’m really looking forward to running with Gomersall Motorsport again. Last year, we were learning the category and the car, so it will be great to go into this year with everything we’ve learned.
“There is so much experience and knowledge between Glenn, Aaron, Jason, and the team, so I’m excited to get amongst it again.
“I love the cars in this category and was looking for another challenge. GT4 has attracted a lot of interest over the last year, with many fast drivers and teams coming on board, so I look forward to the challenge.”
Glenn Walker
#14 BMW M4 GT4 F82
“As an international series, GT4 is a highly attractive category, and SRO is building a strong brand in Australia, as demonstrated by the strength of the field this year,” said Walker.
“The hyper-competitive racing, combined with the balance of performance system, means anyone can podium, and the variety of cars in the field makes the category very relatable for spectators and fans alike.
“My season is all about learning and gaining experience while remaining competitive. We are focused on continually building momentum and securing some silverware along the journey.
“It’s a genuine privilege to be supported by industry veterans at GMS, who are all contributing to my development as a driver and helping to keep the BMW competitive.
“The GMS leadership team has built a great culture, and we are all focused on achieving results across all three driver fields while having fun along the way.”
