Monochrome GT4 Australia has seen its final race under lights take place with a bang as the 31-car field put on a show for a massive crowd at Sydney Motorsport Park.
Silver
William Exton and Jack Johnson have picked up their second Silver Cup win in as many rounds as the pair both produced impressive stints to guide the #114 Team Soutar Motorsport McLaren Artura GT4 to victory.
Having started on the front row, the duo comfortably secured a four-second victory over pole sitters Tom Hayman and Jett Murray in the #25 Method Motorsport McLaren Artura GT4, while Aaron Cameron and Lachlan Dalton rounded out the class podium in the #27 Multispares Racing Ford Mustang GT4.
The victory came off the back of two mature drivers from both teams as Exton stayed within reach of the pole-sitting Hayman for much of their stint - the two McLarens racing off into the distance during the first half of the race as they left the rest of the field in their wake.
Following the pit stops, the #114 McLaren was handed a healthy 12-second lead as a result of Hayman and Murray having a success penalty due to their Darwin victory.
Once Johnson gained the car and the lead, he comfortably brought the car home with no issues as Exton claimed their second victory of the year despite Murray halving the deficit by the time he reached the finish line.
As for the final podium position, it was a well worked place for Cameron and Dalton, who had to fight their way into the spot after the pit stops having started from sixth.
Silver Am
Zac Soutar and Glenn Nirwan have secured their first Silver-Am Cup win of the 2026 season in epic fashion after what was an entertaining battle for class honours.
Behind the wheel of the #75 Tufflift Racing by TSM McLaren Artura GT4, the pair managed to convert their pole position into the victory despite facing a number of challengers as Nirwan managed to claim a victory by less than a second over the #118 Ford Mustang GT4 of Cody Burcher and Dean Campbell.
Rounding out the podium for the race was the returning #22 Ashley Seward Motorsport BMW M4 GT4 G82 of Dylan O’Keeffe and Tim Leahey after the latter was part of a late charging fight back.
Starting from pole position, Soutar was unable to hold onto the lead after Lachlan Mineeff in the Randall Racing BMW M4 GT4 G82 he shares with Jacob Lawrence replaced him for top spot in the class thanks to a fast start.
Despite losing the lead to Mineeff, Soutar held his nerve and stayed within reach of the BMW as Mineeff didn’t put a foot wrong during his stint. Behind them Ryder Quinn had done a lot of hard work to the Thunder Buddies Racing / Black Diamond BMW M4 GT4 G82 within reach of a podium - a mighty effort considering the car had severe damage after a crash on Friday.
Following the pit stops, Lawrence was in a league of his own as he was five seconds ahead of Jakic, who was battling hard with Nirwan, however with less than 20 minutes to go though, Nirwan managed to chase down Lawrence and fight for the class lead - eventually passing the BMW.
That battle looked to last the rest of the race until Lawrence was forced to the pits due to a penalty - giving Nirwan a healthy gap over the next best driver in Campbell. While there was a significant gap of more than 10 seconds between the two, Campbell did an extremely impressive stint to get within a second of the leading McLaren.
However Nirwan ultimately held on to claim the win and give them valuable points in the Silver-Am title fight.
Am Cup
Of the three classes, the Am Cup was the most straightforward as Glenn Walker brought the Gomersall Motorsport Ford Mustang GT4 home with ease having led for most of the race.
Walker ultimately crossed the finish line 15 seconds ahead of the second-placed #64 Method Motorsport McLaren Artura GT4 of Ryan Sorensen, while Am Cup title contenders Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR of Nathan Callaghan and Chris Lillis rounded out the podium.
With Sorensen starting from top spot after remarkably securing a double pole position in Qualifying earlier today, it didn’t take Walker long to snatch the lead off him at the start.
Despite grabbing the lead early, Walker eventually lost it to Callaghan who made a great pass to secure top spot and put him and Lillis in a great position. Unfortunately for the Porsche, a start breach saw him relieve a penalty and forced them to give back the lead to Walker.
Once Walker regained the lead that time, he never looked back and cruised his way to the victory as Sorensen and the Porsche of Callaghan and Lillis produced some great racing.
In the end though, Sorensen would hold the advantage and score the important points as Lillis and Callaghan settled for third place.
