The McLaren Artura has completed a clean-sweep of pole positions for Round 2 of Monochrome GT4 Australia at The Bend.
Reigning TCR Australia Series winner Josh Buchan set the pace in the opening qualifying session by setting a 1m 20.823s in the Zagame Autosport-run McLaren Artura GT4 to head Jarrod Hughes in the Mark Cotterell Master Jeweller Ginetta G55 GT4 by 0.403s.
Method Motorsport’s trio of entries were led by Nathan Morcom in the lead McLaren from Lachlan Mineeff in the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 MR CS and Marcos Flack in the second Artura GT4.
George Miedecke was sixth in the Miedecke Motorsport/Lubrimaxx Ford Mustang from the Love Motorsport duo of Sam Brabham and Antonio Astuti in the pair of Mercedes-AMG GT4s.
Rounding out the top 10 were two BMWs driven by Tim Leahey and Ryder Quinn in the Black Diamond Building and Construction example.
Buchan, Hughes and Mineeff led the Pro-Am Cup, with Morcom leading Silver Cup from teammate Flack and Miedecke.
Am Cup was led by the GB Galvanising Racing Porsche of Vince Gucciardo from the new Randall Racing BMW of Jamie Augustine, while the Mercedes-AMG GT4 of Mark Griffith completed the top three.
Method Motorsport’s Tom Hayman kept McLaren on top in the second qualifying session to lead Rylan Gray in the Mustang and Tom McLennan in the second Artura GT4 from the Chaz Mostert-led team.
Reigning Monochrome GT4 Australia series winner Shane Smollen was fourth in his Porsche from Leahey, Jake Camilleri, the TekworkX Motorsport Porsche of Zoe Woods, Randall Racing’s Jacob Lawrence, Bailey Love of Love Motorsport and Gucciardo, who once again topped the Am Cup.
Hayman, Gray and McLennan led the Silver Cup standings as Smollen secured the Pro-Am pole from Tony Quinn leaving Rob Love third.
Am Class had Lawrence fastest from Gucciardo and debutant Rob Rubis.
