BMW has revealed further details on its new-for 2025 Evo update at last weekend’s Crowdstrike 24 Hours of Spa.
After first revealing the updated M4 GT4 Evo alongside its GT3 sibling at the Nurburgring 24 Hour last month and BMW has since added additional information regarding specifications.
Key areas focused upon in the Evo configuration have been reliability and drivability. This has led to a revised rear splitter, reinforced wheel bearings on the rear axle and new front flicks.
A new feature is the ability to temporarily turn off the traction control via a button on the steering wheel.
Further work has been completed in the front end to make it more maintenance-friendly.
Much like the GT3 version, the M4 GT4 Evo features updated styling tweaks particularly the front and rear lights.
Development of the Evo package has been undertaken by BMW factory drivers Jens Klingsmann, Max Hesse and Dan Harper.
The new M4 GT4 Evo is available as a whole package or a kit package for existing cars.
“The BMW M4 GT4 wrote an extraordinary success story in its first season,” said Bjoern Lellmann, head of BMW customer racing.
“In developing the BMW M4 GT4 EVO, we focused on what makes BMW M Motorsport stand out.
“We took the feedback from the field seriously and focused on the issues that were important to our customers – to make the ‘perfect’ customer racing car even better.”
Rollout for the Evo will begin in the fourth quarter of 2024 ahead of its debut next year.
