Zoe Woods will be joined in her Porsche Cayman GT4 by Danny Stutterd this weekend at Queensland Raceway.
A home round comes at an opportune time for the Gold Coast based squad, which has enjoyed a strong patch of form during the past month across Sprint Challenge, Carrera Cup and TGRA GR Cup competition.
Zoe Woods has remained active behind the wheel in the two months since the last Monochrome GT4 Australia round at The Bend in early June.
She has contested the first two rounds of the TGRA GR Cup, continuing to gain invaluable experience in close combat racing amongst the ultra-competitive category. Woods has run inside the top 10 in all four GT4 races so far, recording three top 10 finishes and narrowly missing out in Race 2 at The Bend.
“Really looking forward to getting back in the GT4 after two rounds in the Toyota 86, I think the transition will be relatively smooth as I’ve become accustomed to adapting quickly between the two,” said Woods.
“I’ve done lots of miles at QR which will help as we haven’t done a test in the car since The Bend, but I’ve driven a Porsche around that track a few times and we have lots of practice across Thursday and Friday. The three-hour race is certainly something to look forward to, it’s really going to be all about the pit stops and ensuring we get the strategy and timing right.
“Can’t wait to race with Danny, I’ve got a great relationship with him and he’s one of my biggest supporters so it’s a great fit to work together this weekend."
Sprint Challenge Pro-Am points leader Danny Stutterd won’t defend his lead this weekend, as he takes on co-driving duties with Zoe Woods in Monochrome GT4 Australia.
Round 3 of Monochrome GT4 Australia will be held as part of a stacked Shannons SpeedSeries event at Queensland Raceway on August 2-4 to be broadcast live on 7plus for Australian residents. International viewers can watch on the GT World YouTube channel.
