Sydney schedule revealed for Monochrome GT4 Australia

Round 5 of Monochrome GT4 Australia heads to Sydney Motorsport Park where action will be aplenty between multiple manufacturers.

American muscle goes up against European finesse in a field consisting of a three-class structure contesting two one hour races across a round.

Am Cup is led by Randall Racing’s Jacob Lawrence in his BMW M4 GT4 G82, while Shane Smollen and Lachlan Mineeff continue to head Pro-Am Cup in the Method Motorsport Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS CS.

The Silver Cup fight is well underway as just 11-points separate the Method Motorsport McLaren Artiura GT4 shared by Marcos Flack and Tom Hayman from George Miedecke and Rylan Gray sharing the Lubrimaxx/Miedecke Motorsport Ford Mustang.

Sydney is a new venue for many driver and car combinations, which promises to provide interesting results by the end of Race 2.

The usual private testing commences on the Thursday before the event ahead of two 40-minute practice sessions on Friday at 10:45am and 3:10pm.

For the first time,. Monochrome GT4 Australia qualifying will be held under lights starting at 7:25pm for two 10-minute sessions.

The opening race will be held on Saturday at 4:40pm, while Sunday’s is scheduled for 12:40pm (all times AEST).

Monochrome GT4 Australia will contest Round 5 of its series as part of the Shannons SpeedSeries at Sydney Motorsport Park on October 18-20.
