Mark Cotterell Master Jeweller adds class to Monochrome GT4 Australia

Mark Cotterell Master Jeweller will add prestige to the Monochrome GT4 Australia by providing prizes at selected rounds and to the series winner as it partners with the category in 2024.

The high-end jewellery produced by Cotterell’s company is suited to all applications whether it be an engagement and wedding ring or a bespoke designer exclusive piece of which one will be awarded to the amateur driver of the series winning pairing.

A BRM V6 watch will be awarded to the winner of the four-hour endurance event at Queensland Raceway on August 2-4 as part of the Shannons SpeedSeries.

The victor at the Bathurst season finale will receive a BRM V12 watch, while the Monochrome GT4 Australia series winner will not only take home the trophy, but a Mark Cotterell personally designed 18ct Diamond Designer Championship ring to the value of $12,000 AUD.

An extension of the partnership also includes Mark Cotterell Master Jeweller occupying the front number plate area as a minor series sponsor.

Cotterell is a new competitor in the Monochrome GT4 Australia class this year driving a Ginetta G55. After entering racing in 2021 in a Ginetta G50 and contesting the Queensland Production Sports Car Championship Cotterell won the championship the following year and makes the step up to national competition this season.

This is the first of many exciting partnerships to be announced by Monochrome GT4 Australia management ahead of the opening round of the series joining the Shannons SpeedSeries at Phillip Island on April 12-14.

Mark Cotterell,

Monochrome GT4 Australia competitor and Owner, Mark Cotterell Master Jeweller

“Considering I run a high-end jewellery business, GT4 is the perfect fit,” said Cotterell.

“The category is home to some beautiful looking and stylish, purpose-built race cars which fits perfectly in with my business.

“We’re a predominantly bespoke business, everything is beautifully fashioned and we are about craftsmanship and an International level of Quality. Aligning ourselves with GT4 is perfect as it melds the two together.

“People ask ‘how do you put jewellery and racing together?’ I always respond by saying ‘to be good at either, you need to be incredibly detailed and you’ve got to be on your game’. And they are also very similar in regards to how much you want to spend!

“It’s great to be involved with such a growth category as both a sponsor and a competitor.”

Troy Williams,

Category Manager, Monochrome GT4 Australia

"What an amazing opportunity for our competitors - an elite level prize pool befitting one of the premiere series in Australia,” said Williams.

“It’s great to have Mark Cotterell Master Jeweller on board as a series sponsor for Monochrome GT4 Australia in 2024.  Mark and the team are renowned for their high quality service and products, and we are very proud to not only see Mark on the grid this year, but also having Mark Cotterell Master Jeweller represented on our competitors' vehicles throughout the series.”
