Rising star Rylan Gray will continue to partner George Miedecke in the Miedecke Motorsport Ford Mustang GT4 for the 2025 Monochrome GT4 Australia season.
The pair enjoyed a superb season in 2024 headlined by securing the Ford Mustang GT4’s first global pole and victory in an FIA-sanctioned event at Phillip Island last April.
Although the pairing fell short of the Silver Cup crown at the Bathurst International, the season highlighted the competitiveness of the Mustang GT4 by taking five class wins.
Despite the lack of miles prior to Phillip Island due to the Mustang GT4 arriving the week of the event, Gray took pole and together with Miedecke clean-swept the weekend.
Gray combined his Monochrome GT4 Australia program by contesting Super2 with Tickford Autosport as the high point proved a round victory at Bathurst.
Competition in Monochrome GT4 Australia is set to rise again for 2025 and it might just come from new rivals in Mustang GT4s.
The opening round of the 2025 Monochrome GT4 Australia season is at Phillip Island on April 4-6.

“Rylan was able to adapt really quickly,” said Miedecke.
“His feedback and racing brain are very strong. Rylan didn’t touch another car all year and did that by making some great passes in addition to showing the pace that people are starting to know him for.
“Rylan and I both give each other something. He is helping me keep my driving as sharp as it can be and I’m very proud to say if I’m off him it's only by a couple of tenths, which is a great place to be.
“Between the two of us we won the first FIA-sanctioned race in the world for the Ford Mustang GT4 and contributed something like 10 percent of the model’s wins globally in 2024.
“He joined us to gain some experience and learn about the media side of things in terms of how to deal with sponsors, which is all going really well for Rylan. I couldn’t be prouder of the progression through the year, he’s coming out of his shell and showing he’s having a bit more fun with it.
“Really, any other driver for us was Plan B for next year, so we’re very pleased he’s coming back.”

“It’s been great with the Miedeckes,” said Gray. “It’s been awesome to drive with them and I’m super glad to be joining them once again next year.
“It’s been great to learn of George. My dad and he raced probably 15 years ago in V8 Utes, so the connection has been running for a long-time now, so now it’s good to continue it.
“I can’t even count how much racing George’s done off the top of my head, he’s raced everywhere. To learn off him, how he drives and the feedback he provides has been good to take in, not just the driving.
“I think this year we’ve pushed each other and that’s been good to do that in a sense to be constantly up the front. The Miedecke Motorsport crew has been awesome and we’ve worked really hard to get the Mustang right at each round, which we have. I’ve definitely had a good year working with those guys and to be with George has been amazing.
“We had a lot of wins, a lot of poles and a lot of podiums, so it’s good to come home with some silverware at the end of the year.
“We’ll hopefully go one better in Silver Cup in 2025, which is the main goal. I think we’ll have a good shot at it, with me and George as a strong driver pairing. We’re hoping to wrap it up next year.
“Representing the Ford brand this year has brought some talks of going over and doing sim simulator time in the US. It’s good to have Ford Performance provide those opportunities to young drivers. It’s been great to build the relationship with Ford Performance and we hope to build on this next year.”
