West Australian married couple Sue and Lib Palermo will take up the challenge of the Monochrome GT4 Australia Am Cup in 2025, linking up with reigning class winners Randall Racing.
Having both recently taken up motorsport in their native Western Australia where they have each enjoyed productive stints in Improved Production, the Palermos will tackle their next challenge behind the wheel of an older-specification BMW M4 GT4 F82.
Sue first competed in the Over 3-Litre Improved Production in 2022 but rose fast to finish second in the championship outright the next year.
Her experience grew in 2024 when she expanded her racing program to include the Combined Sedans support races at the Bathurst 12 Hour and Improved Production Nationals in Darwin. A second trip to Bathurst for Sue led to B1 Class victory and 10th outright as part of an all-female team at the Bathurst 6 Hour.
Following the same pathway, Sue’s husband Lib has competed in the Over 3-Litre Improved Production Championship in Western Australia since 2022. Lib scored second in the GT Tander Cup during the 2023 season before joining Sue at Bathurst and Darwin.
The addition of the Palermos in is an expansion for Randall Racing after running a pair of M4 GT4 F82s in 2024, spearheaded by the father-son combination of Peter and Jacob Lawrence.
It proved a successful maiden national season for Randall Racing as Jacob secured the Am Cup title partnered by motorsport legend John Bowe, while Peter was third alongside Jamie Augustine.
The Palermos add to a strong line-up of entries already announced for the opening Monochrome GT4 Australia round at Phillip Island as part of the Shannons SpeedSeries on April 4-6.
Tickets for the season opener can be purchased via speedseries.com.au.
