The entry list for Round 5 of the Monochrome GT4 Australia 2025 season has been confirmed with a field of 29 cars entered in GT Festival The Bend.
The impressive entry list features strong numbers across all three classes and a healthy representation of eight manufacturers in what is its biggest field since GT Festival Sydney.
Silver Cup
The Silver Cup has a mostly unchanged eight-car line up for the visit to Shell V-Power Motorsport Park following an entertaining weekend at Sandown Raceway, with the returning entry of Wallis Motorsport welcoming American Ford Junior driver Jenson Alztman for the event alongside its regular driver in Jack Wallis.
Leading the way of regular entries is the Miedecke Motorsport with Lubrimaxx Ford Mustang GT4 of George Miedecke and Rylan Gray, who hold a slender 11-point lead at the top of the Silver Cup standings. Their closest title rival comes in the form of the #25 Method Motorsport McLaren Artura GT4 of Max Geoghegan and teammate Tom Hayman, the latter of whom is fresh from an invitational visit to Spain with the McLaren Academy.
With the rest of the top five being made up of the Ashley Seward Motorsport BMW M4 GT4 G82 of Cody Burcher and Tim Leahey, TekworkX Motorsport’s Nash Morris and Zoe Woods in the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS CS, and the JGI Triple Eight Racing Mercedes-AMG GT4 of Summer Rintoule and Jarrod Hughes – there will be plenty of narratives to keep an eye on at The Bend for attending fans.
Blake Purdie and Daniel Price in the Nippy's Audi R8 GT4 have experienced a series of incidents throughout the season since the strong start of a victory and runner-up at GT Festival Phillip Island earlier this year, however with this circuit being Purdie Racing's home track - the pair have every chance to overcome their challenging run of results and secure a podium.
Rounding out the class is Gomersall Motorsport’s Jake Camilleri in the Ford Mustang GT4, who will be hoping to score another victory in South Australia after breaking his winless streak at GT Festival Sandown in July.
Silver-Am Cup
Boasting the largest field of the Monochrome GT4 Australia entry list is the Silver-Am Cup with 11 cars.
Headlining the class for the round is the trio of genuine title contenders, led by Gomersall Motorsport’s Aaron Seton and Jason Gomersall, the pair sit just 10 points ahead of fellow Ford Mustang GT4 pilots Cameron Crick and Dean Campbell of DA Campbell Transport, while Daniel Frougas and Tim Berryman sit a further 13 points behind in the GWR Australia Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO 2.
There are some changes to the entry list from to the most recent round at Sandown, with Ginetta Australia’s Lachlan Mineeff and Rob Rubis making their return in the Ginetta G56 GT4, and Chris White alongside Tony Quinn in the Keltic Racing Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO 2 for the first time since Queensland.
Method Motorsport has also had a change in personnel, with two-time Australian Prototype Series champion John Paul Drake replacing Nathan Morcom in the team’s #24 McLaren Artura GT4 alongside Loclan Hennock for his series debut - the entry moving Hennock into the Silver-Am class for the first time this year.
Outside of the top contenders, there is no shortage of firepower with Ryder Quinn and Steve Jakic in the TekworkX BMW M4 GT4 G82, Zac Soutar and Glenn Nirwan in the Tufflift Racing TSM McLaren Artura GT4, Lachlan Dalton and Benjamin Newman in the Buckby Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT4 and the Multispares Racing Ford Mustang GT4 of Aaron Cameron and Ryan Hansford all hoping to secure their maiden victory for the 2025 season.
Rounding out the Silver-Am Class is teenage sensation Jay Murray and father Nathan in the McElrea Racing BMW M4 GT4 G82 EVO.
Am Cup
The Am Cup once again has a healthy field of 10 cars entered in an event with reigning champion Jacob Lawrence in the Randall Racing BMW M4 GT4 G82 leading the way.
With Lawrence closing in on his second title, his biggest threat comes in the form of three-time race winner Shane Smollen and the second Method Motorsport Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS CS of Chris Lillis and Nathan Callaghan.
Coming off the back of his first win of the season at Sandown is Randall Racing’s Peter Lawrence, with Jamie Augustine back alongside him in the BMW M4 GT4 G82 for the round, while Glenn Walker remains in contention for the title having guided his Gomersall Motorsport BMW M4 GT4 F82 to five podiums.
AR Nineteen Motorsport will once again bring in its three Mercedes-AMG GT4s to a round with Jamie Arratoon proving the team’s biggest success story so far this year thanks to consecutive podiums earlier this year, while his teammates John Nikolovski and Mark Griffith are in search of their first ones for the year.
Making up the remaining two entries for the class are Marcus LaDelle and Jarrod Keyte in the 99motorsport Ford Mustang GT4 and Love Racing’s Bailey and Rob Love in the TSM supported Mercedes-AMG GT4.
