Daniel Frougas has confirmed a full season attack in Monochrome GT4 Australia for the 2026 season, with the New South Welshman to shake things up on board his Garth Walden Racing Toyota GR Supra GT4.
Having driven with Tim Berryman for a campaign in 2025, Frougas will now start the season on his own.
As part of the restructure, the New South Welshman will move to the Silver class, where he will be up against no shortage of talented steerers as he looks to continue his development up the Australian motorsport ranks.
Frougas’ rise began towards the start of the decade in open wheels where he debuted in the Australian Formula Ford Championship, scoring three class podiums in his opening season.
He remained in the category for the remaining three years, with his best campaign coming in 2024 when he enjoyed two podiums with Supercars driver Cam Hill’s CHE Racing to finish seventh, before finishing fourth in the state competition.
The then-teenager then looked for other opportunities in the 2025 season, prompting a move to Monochrome GT4 Australia where he linked up with GWR and Berryman.
Frougas proceeded to have his best campaign since switching to racing cars, with he and Berryman grabbing a class victory in just the second race of the season. The pair managed to pick up a further two wins for the rest of the season to remain in contention for the Silver-Am title.
While they eventually missed out on the title, the pair finished off strong with a pole position and podium in the final race of the season, eventually finishing third overall in the Silver-Am class.
Frougas begins his 2026 campaign at this weekend’s LIQUI MOLY GT Festival Phillip Island on 27-29 March, with his new co-drivers to be announced in the coming months.

“I’m extremely excited to be back in G4 Australia for my second season. Moving into the Silver class is a big step for me and something I’m really looking forward to,” Frougas said.
“I’ll be taking on more of a lead role this year, so there’s definitely some added pressure, but hopefully we can turn that into strong results.
“I’m really excited to be competing against some of the best young drivers in the country and giving everyone a run for their money.
“Running solo this year changes things quite a bit. There’s a lot more focus on car setup and my own driving development, which is great for improving and getting faster.
“The plan is to bring in a co-driver for the final four rounds, so we’ll announce more on that when the time comes.”
