Randall Racing has made quite the impression on Monochrome GT4 Australia through its presentation and now performance as it aims for the Am Cup crown.
Spearheaded by Jacob Lawrence alongside father Peter, Randall Racing scored a top result at The Bend by scoring the Am Cup win in both races.
It was the younger Lawrence securing both wins in his maiden solo appearance as regular co-driver, the legend John Bowe was unavailable.
It continues the progression of Randall Racing after purchasing an older specification BMW M4 GT4 F82 for track days, but the decision was made to enter circuit racing due to the growth of GT4.
“We just wanted a bit of fun,” said Lawrence.
“We had a car built for a category, GT4 was just taking off last year, so we thought why not have a crack at it.
The team won the Meguiar’s Best Presented Award to add to the joy at The Bend.
“My old man’s ethos is fake it until we make it,” Lawrence explained.
“We’re trying to look great, present well, we’ve got all the team uniforms, so we just need our on-track performances to come up to those off it.”
Although Bowe was missing from the previous round, he has been an invaluable part of guiding Randall Racing through its infancy.
“JB has helped set up the team and bringing the right people in,” reflected Lawrence.
“He’s helped me develop as a driver and the car set-up. JB has been a major part of us getting up to speed and where we are now.”
