GT Festival shakes up Monochrome GT4 Australia standings

Silver, Pro-Am and Am Cups remain up for grabs as Monochrome GT4 Australia builds to an exciting final stages following the GT Festival at Phillip Island.

Although failing to win a race at Phillip Island, Method Motorsport duo Marcos Flack and Tom Hayman have snatched back the Silver Cup lead.

Just 11-points separate the McLaren duo from the Miedecke Motorsport/Lubrimaxx Ford Mustang of George Miedecke and Rylan Gray.

The Mustang pairing endured a tough weekend at Phillip Island due to a gearbox malady, but is sure to be back on form in at the team’s home race at Sydney Motorsport Park.

Reigning series winner Shane Smollen is strongly placed alongside Lachlan Mineeff in the Method Motorsport Porsche 718 Cayman CS RS.

The duo hold a 53-point advantage back to recent winners Ryder Quinn and Steve Jakic driving the Black Diamond Building and Construction BMW M4 GT4 G82.

Randall Racing’s Jacob Lawrence holds a 51-point margin back to co-driver John Bowe after the latter missed The Bend round.

Teammates Jamie Augustine and Peter Lawrence sit third in the standings.
