Tight competition promised following close Pre-Qualifying session in Sydney

The inclement weather continued for the Monochrome GT4 Australia Pre-Qualifying session at Sydney Motorsport Park.

Pre-Qualifying revealed the fine margins in each class as the teams prepare for the battle for pole tomorrow morning (Saturday), which will be broadcast on 7plus and live-streamed for international viewers via the GT World YouTube channel.

Am Cup

Shane Smollen led the way in Am Cup again, driving the Method Motorsport-prepared Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS CS just ahead of Randall Racing’s Jacob Lawrence in his BMW M4 GT4 G82.

Monochrome GT4 Australia debutants Marcus LaDelle and Jarrod Keyte ended the session third in the 99Motorsport Ford Mustang GT4 from Glenn Walker’s Gomersall Motorsport BMW M4 GT4 F82.

Chris Lillis and Nathan Callaghan, driving their Method Motorsport Porsche, complete the Am Cup top five.

Method Motorsport’s Tom Hayman and Max Geoghegan continued their run at the top of Silver Cup in the McLaren Artura GT4.

Winners at Phillip Island, Blake Purdie and Daniel Price in the Nippy’s Audi R8 LMS GT4 finished the session third from the TekworkX Motorsport Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS CS of Nash Morris and Zoe Woods.

The second TekworkX Motorsport Porsche of Josh and Diesel Thomas rounded out Silver Cup's top five.

Silver-Am Cup
