Monochrome GT4 Australia announces six-round calendar for 2026

SRO Motorsports Australia is pleased to announce a provisional six-round calendar for the 2026 Monochrome GT4 Australia season.

Following a record start to the 2025 season for Monochrome GT4 Australia, the series will once again play a significant role in the Shannons SpeedSeries in 2026 as a landmark visit to the Northern Territory and the season finale headliner highlight the exciting calendar.

With the Shannons SpeedSeries marking the popular Hidden Valley Raceway in Darwin as the fourth round of the season, it will be the first time both the platform and Monochrome GT4 Australia have ever raced in the Top End.

Like this year, the growing series will kick off the 2026 season at the famous Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit in March before heading to Shell V-Power Motorsport Park in South Australia just over a month later.

A visit to Queensland Raceway in June remains the destination for round three ahead of the historic event in the Northern Territory, while Sydney Motorsport Park serves as the penultimate round in September before the season wraps up at the iconic Sandown circuit in October.

With GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS not running its final round of the year as part of the Shannons SpeedSeries, Monochrome GT4 Australia will have the honour of being the headlining act of the platform for the first time since its formation in 2023.

The provisional 2026 Monochrome GT4 Australia calendar announcement was made at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium as part of the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa press conference, along with the calendars of all other SRO series, including the Shannons SpeedSeries and GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS.

Further details on the 2026 season, including event details, will be released in due course.

Monochrome GT4 Australia continues its 2025 season next month at Sandown International Raceway as part of the Shannons SpeedSeries’ GT Festival Sandown on 25–27 July.

Fans can purchase tickets to the round via speedseries.com.au/tickets or watch the races live via the Seven Network or the GT World YouTube channel for international viewers.

“We are extremely pleased to be able to unveil the provisional Monochrome GT4 Australia calendar for the 2026 season as part of the global announcement here at the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa,” said McMellan.

“It’s very exciting to be able to take Monochrome GT4 Australia to Darwin for the first time in its history - Hidden Valley is a fantastic race track that deserves more national level motorsport, so to be able to take some of the best racing categories in the country up there is a big positive for all parties.

“Monochrome GT4 Australia has been growing significantly since its formation in 2023, with this year going to another level, so to have it headline the season finale at Sandown will be exciting.

“Starting at Phillip Island is slowly becoming a tradition for the Shannons SpeedSeries, GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS and Monochrome GT4 Australia, so it’s great that we kick off the season there next year.

“We have been hard at work at getting this provisional calendar locked in, but doing so allows us to get a head start on building the foundations for the season and our major stakeholders to begin their initial preparations for next year.”
