Tayler Bryant and Jeremy Gray confirm full Monochrome GT4 Australia campaign for 2026

GT Festival Hampton Downs race winners Tayler Bryant and Jeremy Gray have confirmed they will return to Monochrome GT4 Australia in 2026 with the intention of contesting the full six-round season.

Following their maiden appearance in New Zealand last year, Bryant and Gray will continue to run their Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO 2 in the Silver-Am class, albeit with a new race team, DNA AutoSport.

The pair had a dream start to their Monochrome GT4 Australia debut event last year, having claimed a victory in the Silver-Am class at the first attempt, a dominant four-second win coming off the back of fourth-place qualifying for the opening race of the weekend.

Bryant and Gray then capped off their week with a solid sixth-place finish in class to give themselves plenty of confidence heading into the 2026 season.

Outside of their debut, both drivers have had plenty of experience racing, with Gray boasting more than 10 years of racing in a variety of national categories, including Porsche Carrera Cup Australia, Australian Production Cars, Touring Car Masters and multiple appearances in Bathurst 6 Hour and 12 Hour events.

His career highlights so far include steering an Aston Martin Vantage GT4 to a class title in Australian GT Trophy Series in 2018.

His Kiwi teammate also has a solid amount of driver experience, especially behind the wheel of a Toyota, having been a regular runner in the New Zealand Toyota 86 Championship since making his debut after gaining a scholarship for the 2020 season. Prior to that, his first ever experience of car racing came in 2019 as part of the SsangYong Utes Series.

During his time in the New Zealand Toyota 86 Championship, Bryant held his own in the competitive series, enjoying a number of podiums throughout, however the rising star had to wait until his Monochrome GT4 Australia debut to post his first official class victory.

In 2024, Bryant also teamed up with Summer Rintoule and Hunter Robb to score a Class D fifth-place finish and 21st outright in the Bathurst 6 Hour before making a few appearances in the North Island Endurance Series where he drove a Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 – his main highlights being two pole positions.

Gray and Bryant have already managed to complete a number of test runs ahead of their maiden full-season campaign this year, with all eyes on the season opener later this month.

Monochrome GT4 Australia kicks off the 2026 season at the LIQUI MOLY GT Festival Phillip Island at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit on 27-29 March.

“We’re really looking forward to having a full go in Monochrome GT4 Australia in 2026,” Gray said.

“Last year in New Zealand was a bit of fun – we only just got the car out of the container and went racing, and to have some success straight away was really encouraging."

“We’ve done some testing at the start of the year, which has helped make the car a bit easier to drive and a bit quicker. It’s been great to get it back out and give it a proper run this season.”

“We’re running the car with DNA this year as I’ve got a really good relationship with the team having run a successful campaign with them previously, so they’re a strong outfit and it’s great to be teaming up with them again and working with Tayler.”

“Tayler and I work really well together. Although he hasn’t been doing a lot of racing lately, more driver coaching, he is a talented young driver and it’s great to team up again.”

“Last year was my first time back in a race car for a couple of years, so it took a little bit to get up to speed but once I got on top of car positioning and spatial awareness, it all came back. We showed some promising pace in New Zealand, so the goal this year is to be competitive and push for strong results.”

“I am very excited to be coming back to Monochrome GT4 Australia – especially after our debut weekend in New Zealand. To come out and win with the new car was more than we really expected,” Bryant said.

“We’ve got a test day coming up at Phillip Island, which will be good because I’ve never driven there. It’s about getting back on top of the car, but both Jeremy and I have plenty of confidence and out goal this year is to win the Silver-Am Cup.

“There are a lot of new tracks for me this season, so it’s about continuing to work with the team and hopefully turning the car up a little more to make it even more competitive.

“I’ve only raced at The Bend and done some testing at Queensland Raceway, so most of the tracks are new to me. But I’ve been to a lot of them through coaching, so at least I’ve got some background knowledge.

“It’s definitely been a while between full-time championships for me. After breaking my back in a road accident, I was out for about a year. The GT racing I’ve done since has given me a lot more confidence as a driver, so I am keen to get out there.”
