Young rising star Matthew McCutcheon has received a late call-up to this weekend’s Monochrome GT4 Australia round, with the Kiwi to join Tony Quinn at LIQUI MOLY GT Festival The Bend.
Behind the wheel of the Game Over GR Supra GT4 EVO 2, the pair will team up once again in the series and will contest the hugely competitive Silver-Am Cup.
While it will be just the third time racing alongside each other in Monochrome GT4 Australia, Quinn and McCutcheon have enjoyed plenty of success in that time and have been regular visitors to the class podium.
The duo first made their series debut together in 2024 at Queensland Raceway behind the wheel of a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS CS, where they enjoyed a class victory in the weekend’s endurance race of the season before linking back up last year at Sandown, where they secured a class podium.
Making that podium all the more impressive was that it was McCutcheon’s first ever race in the GR Supra and his official debut at Sandown Raceway - a situation he will find himself in once again this weekend when he goes to The Bend for the first time.
In addition to his brief Monochrome GT4 Australia successes, McCutcheon has plenty of achievements in other categories, including Toyota 86 Racing Series race wins and a runner-up finish in New Zealand's 2020/21 Formula Ford season - all of which contributed to him earning a scholarship in the Tony Quinn Foundation in 2022.
Monochrome GT4 Australia continues its 2026 season this weekend at Shell V-Power Motorsport Park as part of the Shannons SpeedSeries LIQUI MOLY GT Festival The Bend on 8-10 May.

#29 Game Over GR Supra GT4 EVO 2
“I’m super excited. I hadn’t been in the car for a while, so getting back behind the wheel with Tony will be great,” McCutcheon said.
“It was a bit of a last-minute call-up, which makes the opportunity even more exciting. Tony and I have had some success together in this series – we had a strong result at Queensland Raceway back in 2024, and racing at Sandown last year was an incredible experience, especially as it was my first time there.
“Now I’m really looking forward to heading to The Bend. It’s a track I haven’t raced at before, but it looks like an amazing venue and I’m excited to take it on.
“I’m really grateful to the team for the opportunity, and I’m just keen to get out there, experience a new track, and have some fun.”
