The Bend awaits Monochrome GT4 Australia for intriguing battle royale

Following a record-breaking start to the 2026 season, Monochrome GT4 Australia will return to action this weekend with an equal-high 33 entries confirmed to battle it out at Shell V-Power Motorsport Park for LIQUI MOLY GT Festival The Bend.

Continuing the momentum as one of the nation’s biggest national categories, there will be a huge amount of talent in the three class with 57 drivers spread across 33 cars making up the bumper field.

Outside of team and driver top honours, there will also be a focus on the all-important Global Manufacturer rankings battle with seven marques entered in the round.

Audi
Audi will have the one entry for the visit to The Bend, with Purdie Racing locked in to return after being a late withdrawal at Phillip Island.

Behind the wheel of the Audi R8 LMS GT4 and competing in the Silver class, Blake Purdie and Supercars young gun Jobe Stewart, who will make his Series debut at The Bend, will be looking to get their campaign off to a winning start to make up for lost time.

BMW
BMW had a decent start to the series at Phillip Island, with the highlight being a Silver-Am class race win to the #3 Thunder Buddies Racing / Black Diamond BMW M4 GT4 G82, and there will once again be a contingent of six cars.

The BMW change to the line-up is that Race 1 winning entry with Ryder Quinn now joined by Steve Jakic, who starts his 2026 campaign, after Daniel Jilesen stepped in for Round 1.

Alongside the Silver-Cup co-leading BMW in the class will be the #32 Randall Racing BMW of Jacob Lawrence and Lachlan Mineeff, who enjoyed a podium at first asking in their maiden race together.

The only other change to the line-ups is in the Silver Cup, where series newcomer Jiawei Chen will be joined by another debutant in Dylan Canto behind the wheel of the Team Komo BMW.

Rounding out the BMW charge is a host of familiar names, with the second Randall Racing BMW of Peter Lawrence, and the two-car McElrea Racing outfit of father-son duo Nathan and Jay Murray.

They will face serious challenges from the Multispares Racing Mustangs of Lochie Dalton and Aaron Cameron, who won a race, and Cam McLeod and Mason Harvey, as well as Miedecke Motorsport with Lubrimaxx’s George Miedecke and Blake Tracey.

The second Miedecke Motorsport with Lubrimaxx entry of Cooper Cutts and Blake Dowdall had a decent debut, and will be looking to build.

Gomersall Motorsport continues with its three-car line-up across all three classes, and it’s Glenn Walker who had a dream start to the Ford Mustang with a podium and victory at Phillip Island, while 2025 Silver-Am Cup champions Aaron Seton and Jason Gomersall, and Silver Cup driver Jake Camilleri all had a solid opening round.

Their Method Motorsport teammate Cy Pearson will come to The Bend having finished both races on debut in March’s season opener.

However, it was another Porsche driver who had a more than impressive debut weekend as Jensen Shearer ended Race 2 with a top three finish and fifth on the outright standings.

Making up the Porsche quartet is Caleb Paterson and Kent Quinn, who are back in the Norganic Proteins Porsche.
