Monochrome GT4 Australia has revealed its provisional 2027 calendar, which will feature two trips to the country’s premier racing circuit, Bathurst.
Bookending next year’s Monochrome GT4 Australia season will be both trips to the famous Mount Panorama circuit, starting the year as the headline support class at the internationally-renowned Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour in February.
The series will then conclude at the famed venue in style, with the final round of the year to run as an endurance race as part of a new Shannons SpeedSeries event set to run in late October.
The Bathurst endurance round will be the category’s first since 2024, where it held a three-hour race at Queensland Raceway on the Sunday.
The twin Bathurst events are all part of a spectacular six round calendar that includes some of Australia's best racing circuits – all perfectly suited to the popular GT4 cars and racing.
Opening the season at the Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour is the perfect addition to the February event, which is regarded as the start of the circuit racing season.
The 12 Hour continues to rise in stature in the sportscar racing world, becoming a bucket list race for Australian and international drivers and teams.
With the 12 Hour expanding to a four-day event for 2027, the Monochrome GT4 Australia competitors will contest two one-hour races – one each on Friday and Saturday – ensuring fans at the track witness even more quality GT racing.
From there, Monochrome GT4 Australia will be a lead category on the Shannons SpeedSeries bill which kicks its official season off at Phillip Island on March 9-11.
The season then continues to The Bend in May, Queensland Raceway in July and Sydney Motorsport Park in September before the special endurance race Shannons SpeedSeries finale at Mount Panorama at the end of October.
Since its inception two years ago, Monochrome GT4 Australia has grown in prominence on the national motorsport scene, with eight different manufacturers represented across fields that have exceeded 30 entries.
The next round of 2026 Monochrome GT4 Australia will be held at Hidden Valley Raceway, Darwin on July 24-26.
