Monochrome GT4 Australia will debut a brand new racing duo at Sydney later this month with Adrian Lee and Charlie Khoury confirmed for the penultimate round of the 2026 season.
Behind the wheel of the former TekworkX Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR, the Catalyst Private Capital pair are entered in the Am Cup as they embark on a new journey with Sydney their first run in a national series together.
Not only will the upcoming round at Sydney be Lee’s first time in a national series - it will be his official racing debut.
The majority of his previous experience comes in the form of club track days and super sprints where he has developed the skills necessary to join a national series.
While Lee always hoped to one day go racing, it didn’t become a reality until earlier this year when the TekworkX’ Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR was put up for sale and he snapped up the rare opportunity to go racing by purchasing the car.
With Khoury by his side and guiding him through every step - the next chapter in Lee’s racing journey begins at Sydney Motorsport Park when he finally lives out a boyhood dream.
As for his co-driver, Khoury will be serving as the team’s manager and has more experience behind the wheel having been in the sport for half a decade now.
The majority of Khoury’s experience comes in SuperTT, however he enjoyed success last year in the Combined Sedans with class wins and podiums while also having appearances in endurance events including the popular Sydney 300 and Bathurst 6 Hour - the latter of which he ran this year with MC Corsa alongside Brent Wilson and Edan Thornburrow.
One of his notable achievements came earlier this year when he piloted a Honda Civic road car to a victory over a number of former TCR Australia vehicles - with the result giving plenty confidence to join the grid Monochrome GT4 Australia.
The pair will be making their series debuts together during LIQUI MOLY GT Festival Sydney, which serves as the penultimate round of the 2026 season on 18-20 September.

“I’m very excited, but also pretty nervous because this is kind of my first racing event,” Lee said.
“Charlie and I know each other through a group that does a lot of track days, and some of the other guys in our group have done GT4 races and Ferrari Challenge, so it just sounded like the next thing to do. Charlie offered to hold my hand and take me through it, which was great.
“With my businesses mostly under new management, I had more time, and I think it’s always been one of those boyhood boxes you want to tick.
“We’re not going into it expecting to set the world on fire - if we can finish the race with a straight car and not come last, we’ll be pretty happy. I’ve done track days and a few super sprints, but this will be my first door-to-door racing experience.
“From what I understand, GT4 is a really well-organised category with some good opportunities for amateurs, but the competition is still pretty tough because there are some very fast drivers in the Pro categories.”

“I’ve been doing some door-to-door racing in my own Honda Civic for about five years. It’s had a bit of work done, so it’s not a standard car, and I’ve done a lot of MRA, a couple of Sports Sedans events, a little bit of IPRA and raced at Bathurst a couple of times,” Khoury said.
“Monochrome GT4 Australia is a good category and there seems to be plenty of good drivers in there and, even though our car isn’t a current-spec car, it fits well in the category and it’s one of the better categories we can run that car in.
“Adrian wanted a co-driver and thought I was a suitable candidate, so I’m just happy to come along. We’re really there for the fun. We’ve got a couple of other mates running in Ferrari Challenge the same weekend, so for our group it’s just a good weekend at the track with a few of us racing.
“My goal for the event is to have a straight car at the end of the day, finish both races with a smile on our faces and not come last - that’ll be a good result. Other than the Bathurst 6 Hour, I haven’t competed in a national series before, so we’re just there for a good time.”
