Monochrome GT4 Australia will head to Sydney Motorsport Park for the penultimate round of the 2026 season this weekend, with the series joining the Shannons SpeedSeries for the highly anticipated LIQUI MOLY GT Festival Sydney.
A 31-car field representing seven manufacturers will take to the grid for Round 5, with a number of new faces and driver combinations adding further intrigue to the series as we reach the pointy end of the season.
With just two rounds remaining, the Silver, Silver-Am and Am Cup title battles are beginning to take shape, with each championship leader looking to gain an advantage while their closest rivals aim to close the gap at Sydney Motorsport Park, headlined by the exciting twilight race on Saturday evening.
Representing Audi, BMW, Ford, McLaren, Mercedes-AMG, Porsche and Toyota, the field will once again battle for outright class honours and valuable Global Manufacturer Ranking points, with each manufacturer continuing its fight for outright honours.
AUDI
Audi will once again be represented by the Purdie Racing / Team BRM entry, with Blake Purdie and Jobe Stewart continuing their Silver Cup campaign aboard the #48 Audi R8 LMS GT4.
The pair sit second in the Silver Cup standings heading into Sydney after a consistent season to date, despite missing the Round 1 due to technical issues, and will be looking to close the gap to the championship leaders with just two rounds remaining.

BMW
BMW will have its biggest representation of the season so far with seven entries on the Sydney grid, highlighted by a mixture of established class title contenders, returning competitors and series debutants making up the manufacturer's line-up.
Ryder Quinn and Stevan Jakic continue their Silver-Am Cup campaign aboard the Thunder Buddies Racing / Black Diamond BMW M4 GT4 G82, with Quinn leading the Silver-Am Cup heading into the penultimate round.
Jay Murray remains in the Silver Cup aboard the Slattery/McElrea Racing BMW, as will Nathan Murray in the Am Cup with Morris/McElrea Racing BMW.
Randall Racing will field two BMWs for the first time since The Bend, with Am Cup driver Peter Lawrence to be joined by the strong and experienced Silver-Am Cup duo of Jacob Lawrence and Lachlan Mineeff.
Team Komo will also return to the series for the first time since The Bend, with Jiawei (Gary) Chen joined by series debutant Le Zhang in the #222 BMW M4 GT4 F82. The weekend will mark Zhang's first race start in a GT4 car.
Adding further interest to the BMW contingent is the return of the race-winning Ashley Seward Motorsport BMW M4 GT4 G82, with regular driver Tim Leahey joined by 2025 Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia champion Dylan O'Keeffe, who will make his Monochrome GT4 Australia debut.

FORD
Ford Mustang GT4 continues to have the largest representation in the field with 10 entries spread across all three classes.
The 2025 Silver-Am Championship winner #1 Gomersall Motorsport Ford Mustang GT4 is back on the grid after a successful return to the series at Round 4 in Darwin in July, while fellow #14 Gomersall Motorsport teammate in Glenn Walker behind the wheel heads into Sydney second in the Am Cup standings with just one point of difference and will be looking to reclaim the class lead.
Rounding out the team’s trio of entries is Jake Camilleri in the Silver Cup, who is still in search of his first win of the year.
Of course, Camilleri will be joined by plenty of talented drivers in the class with Aaron Cameron and Lochie Dalton firmly in the Silver Cup title fight, alongside the Miedecke Motorsport with Lubrimaxx entry of Blake Tracey and George Miedecke.
Miedecke Motorsport will also field Cooper Cutts and Blake Dowdall, and the #62 Wallis Motorsport Ford Mustang GT4, which has a change in personnel, with Cameron McLeod replacing Sam Paley alongside Jack Wallis. McLeod steps into the car after Paley became unavailable for the event, while his former co-driver Mason Harvey has also withdrawn from the round.
In the Am Cup, Jarrod Keyte continues with the #21 Ekebol MPC Ford Mustang GT4, while Dean Campbell and Cody Burcher remain together in the Silver-Am Cup aboard the #118 Method Motorsport entry.
The final Ford entry is the #227 Multispares Racing Mustang, which heads to Sydney with its driver line-up still to be confirmed.

MCLAREN
McLaren will field four Artura GT4s at Sydney, with plenty of momentum behind the manufacturer heading into the penultimate round.
Tom Hayman and Jett Murray lead the Silver Cup standings aboard the #25 Method Motorsport McLaren after another strong round in Darwin, with Hayman looking to maintain his advantage as he continues his pursuit of a third consecutive Silver Cup title.
Zac Soutar and Glenn Nirwan remain in contention for the Silver-Am crown with Tufflift Racing by TSM, with the pair currently second in the standings and looking to close the gap to Ryder Quinn.
Their Team Soutar Motorsport stablemates Jack Johnson and William Exton are once again onboard the #114 Team Soutar Motorsport McLaren, and head into the event full of confidence after securing their first Monochrome GT4 Australia victory together at Hidden Valley, giving the young pairing a breakthrough result in their maiden campaign.
Rounding out the McLaren line up will be Ryan Sorensen, who is running the #11 Method Motorsport McLaren Artura GT4 in the Am Cup.

Mercedes-AMG will have a single entry at Sydney Motorsport Park, with Jed Murphy entering the Silver Cup as a single driver, after a last minute change forced his co-driver and father Gerry Murphy to skip this round.
Running on board the #58 Murphy Racing by TSM Mercedes-AMG GT4 in the Silver class, Jed will be looking to build on the progress that he Gerry have had during their maiden season together and strengthen his position in the series battle across the final two rounds.

PORSCHE
Porsche will have five entries on the Sydney grid across all three classes, including a new pairing making its series debut.
Caleb Paterson and Kent Quinn continue their Silver-Am Cup campaign aboard the Norganic Proteins Porsche, with Paterson sitting fifth in the championship standings and remaining in contention for the title.
Method Motorsport's Chris Lillis and Nathan Callaghan remain the combination to beat in the Am Cup, with the pair leading the championship by just one point over Glenn Walker heading into Sydney.
Cy Pearson continues his rookie season in the Am Cup with Method Motorsport, while Jensen Shearer remains in the Silver Cup fight aboard the #46 RENNEN Motorsport Porsche.
Making their Monochrome GT4 Australia debut will be Adrian Lee and Charlie Khoury, who will share the former TekworkX Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR entered by Catalyst Private Capital.
The Sydney event will mark the pair's first series start and their first national-level race together.

GR Supra
There will be three GR Supra GT4 EVO 2s in Sydney, with a number of driver changes adding plenty of interest to the manufacturer's line-up.
GWR Australia will welcome a new co-driver to its #9 GR Supra, with Kiwi Zach Blincoe joining Daniel Frougas in place of compatriot Chris White.
Blincoe's appearance forms part of the prize for finishing second in the 2025/26 GR86 Championship across the Tasman, giving the New Zealander the opportunity to step into GT4 machinery alongside Frougas.
The #88 CAMM Quarries & Concrete Racing entry will also feature a new face, with Jesse Dixon replacing Lachlan Evennett alongside Andrew Torti as Evennett heads overseas to compete in the GT4 European Series.
The returning Exedra Motorsport entry will round out the GR Supra contingent, with Dean Koutsoumidis and Nick McBride continuing their Silver-Am campaign aboard the #71 GR Supra GT4 EVO 2.
