Wallis Motorsport will have a change of personnel for the upcoming LIQUI MOLY GT Festival Sydney with Cam McLeod to replace Sam Paley as Jack Wallis’ co-driver in the #62 Ford Mustang GT4 for the rest of the season.
McLeod comes in for Paley after the American was unavailable to run in this weekend’s Sydney round due to a conflicting schedule, opening a highly sought after seat as Wallis's co-driver, with McLeod becoming available due to his regular co-driver in Mason Harvey unable to attend.
McLeod will bring plenty of experience to the team having competed in the series since the start of 2026 - the Queenslander enjoying three class podiums and a further two top five finishes alongside Harvey across the previous four rounds.
Prior to joining Monochrome GT4 Australia, McLeod had raced in the top level of Australian motorsport, competing twice in the Supercars Endurance Cup, while also boasting an impressive international GT record having scored a runner-up class finish in the 2023 24H Dubai GT4 class and two wins in the Mustang Challenge Le Mans Invitational Dark Horse class last year.
Not only will McLeod be joining the team as a driver, but he will also be bringing his engineer in highly experienced Wally Storey from the RM Racing Cars outfit, likely giving the team a new setup for the rest of the season.
As for Wallis, the teenager has had a progressive year behind the wheel in 2026 with Paley, having enjoyed his first podium in the series during the visit to Darwin, while also picking up two top five finishes throughout the year.
Monochrome GT4 Australia resumes this weekend with Sydney Motorsport Park hosting the fifth round of the 2026 season as part of the Shannons SpeedSeries’ LIQUI MOLY GT Festival Sydney from 18 - 20 September 2026.

“It should be really good driving with Jack. He’s been going really well this season, so I think we’ve got another strong lineup. I’ll be trying to get as many points as we can and hopefully help Jack finish his championship campaign as strongly as possible,” McLeod said.
“I think being in contention for the Silver Cup title made it a reason I really wanted to come back and do. It’s an opportunity to keep pushing and see what we can achieve over the remaining rounds.
“It’s obviously unfortunate that Mason isn’t able to come back. He’s been one of the best co-drivers I’ve raced with, so it’s disappointing he’s gone, but we’ve got Wally coming with us as our engineer, and he’s been making the car really fast, so it should be a really good team.
“The car has a pretty different philosophy to what Jack is used to. It’s quite loose, but that’s the way we’ve been able to make it work, so we’ll have to get Jack up to speed with it and get him comfortable in the car. From there, I’ll just do my best and hopefully that’s enough to come home with a win.

“Having another Australian in the car for a change is going to be great. I’ve known Cam for a while and have watched everything he’s done with Ford in Europe, as well as what he’s achieved here in Super2, so I’m really keen to learn as much as I can from him,” Wallis said.
“Cam is a very good driver and has raced at the top level, so to have someone with the experience and level of driving he has in the car is going to be pretty valuable.
